Throwing an amazing party to celebrate our first 4th of July as American citizens

Forth of July is just a few days away, are you ready to celebrate??

This Independence Day is so important for our family. It’s our first since we became American citizens! We are so incredibly grateful for this country and everything we were able to achieve here and excited for many more happy years in the US.

I wanted to throw a beautiful party to remember this day and of course, Christmas Tree Shops is my go-to place for all things decor – they rotate their collections per season and you can always find a lot, a LOT of beautiful decorations for an upcoming holiday. But it’s not only about holidays! They also have everyday items such as home decor, bed&bath, kitchen &dining, they sell snacks, pet stuff, and much more.

The Americana collection is now in stores AND it’s on sale thru 7/4!! I got a beautiful blossom wreath that can be either displayed on the front door or used as a decoration for the 4th of July party. I also got farm-style aluminum jags with red, white, and blue artificial flowers to put on the table, bowls with an American flag and stars, a huuuge farm-style beverage dispenser for the lemonade everyone enjoys on a hot July day. Wooden signs saying “USA”, “Liberty” and “Home of the brave” made a perfect addition to our table but could also be a wonderful decoration around the house, creating a festive look.

I wanted my girls to really enjoy the party and I chose to do everything sweet for the food. I went with sweets, fruit, and lemonade! Milinda and Nicole loooved the mini cupcakes and mini donuts, and adding American flags party picks was such a great (and easy!) idea. I got a package of 50 for 80 cents – such a good deal, right??

My daughters love strawberries and marshmallows and I made a snack board in a form of an American flag! Strawberries, marshmallows, blueberries for the blue corner and a couple of white table scatter stars to finish the look (found them near the cashiers for $1.49 for a pack of 27!).

But the stars of the table were, of course, the ice cream sandwiches! I used store-bought and just added some red-white-blue star-shaped sprinkles. The perfect treat for a hot day in July.

This whole setup took me about 30 minutes – so easy but I love how festive it turned out. And the kids loved it so much, too! It was all possible thanks to Christmas Tree Shops, they make decorating for a holiday a no-brainer and they’re always super affordable. Head to their website to sign up and get a coupon. Plus if you follow them on social,  starting 6/30, you can download a coupon to Buy More, Save More – you’ll get $5 off $25+ purchases or $10 off $50+ purchases.
